MEAT: SURPRISING THINGS THAT HAPPEN WHEN YOU EAT MUCH
It’s a nice idea to take protein always and at the right proportion in respect to time especially meat.
Meats like beef, poultry, pork and others are very important to the body and most important when it comes to balance diet.
From researches, women can have about 5 ounces, while men can have about 6 ounces per day.
However, there are dangers attached to it if it is taken beyond the required portion and in this article I will be listing most of what excess intake of meat does to the body.
1. INCREASE IN BODY WEIGHT
Body system have the accurate percentage of protein calories to be taken per specific interval of time and protein have 4 calories per gram, when the required gram or protein calories is taken in excess (more than the required quantity or quality) it stores in the body as fat when the amino acid is extracted thereby increases the weight of the body.
2. IT WEAKEN THE BONE
Calcium is one of the most important minerals in the body, its helps in improving and repairing bones and teeth, taking excess protein in the body burns and reduces the calcium in the body, calcium in the urine (Urinary calcium) and also causes Hypocalcaemia (low level of calcium in the blood).
3. BODY ODOR
Body odor is the unpleasant smell that comes from certain parts of the body, it can be caused by many ways which high intake of protein is one of them. Excess protein affects the apocrine glands (a glands responsible for body scent through sweat), when apocrine glands is high in protein it causes the bacteria to easily break it down when leads to unpleasant smell in the areas where it is located like the armpits, back ear, breasts, genital areas and more.
Increase in protein required more quantity of water that usual, it’s good to drink plenty water throughout the day but when the protein in the body increases the intake of water should also increase. This is important because the kidney produce more urine which also means that excess water will be flushed out of the body.
5. IT CAUSES KIDNEY PROBLEM
Following the continuation of how high protein causes dehydration and how kidney produces more urine to flush out excess salt and waste in the body, if enough water is not taken for the kidney to function well for the day, it gives the kidney double work to do on getting excess waste out of the body through urine. On a good day, it is advisable to drink plenty of water but with the high level of proteins in the body it is advisable to drink more than plenty of water in other not to get your kidney in problem, water is like a fuel to the body organs especially the kidney.
6. INCREASE RISK OF CANCER
It is advisable not to eat more than 700 gram of meat if you really care about your health on cancer, meats affects cancer risk due to the chemicals formed during the digestion process. It is advisable for patients battling with cancers should take fish instead of meat.
From researches, high meat intake leads to high exposure to cancer.

7. IT INCREASES BODY CHOLESTEROL
Since high intake protein in the body turns to fats after amino acid is extracted, it increases the cholesterol of the body to a higher level which might also damage the heart, eating too much quantity of meats increases the risk of heart diseases.
8. BAD BREATH
Protein causes bad breath when the percentage is more than that of carbohydrate, bad breath which is not cause by the dental is likely caused by diet. It is caused by sugarless substance in the body which protein is one of them, protein has low or no sugar at all while carbohydrate is full of sugar.
When you take protein only or it is in high proportion to carbohydrate it causes bad breath.
9. ERECTION DISORDER IN MEN
Foods that are high in protein especially meat can cause erection disorder and might leads to importance. Due to the high cholesterol and other related disease or effect caused by excess meat intake, erectile dysfunction is 90% rampant among men. It is advisable for men to eat less meat or protein in general to avoid this problem.
10. INCREASE IN RISK OF DEATH
With all above mentioned diseases and effect caused by excess protein (high cholesterol, obesity, prostate cancer, erection disorder, heart disease and more) in the body, it is quite obvious that if proper care is not taken or if continuation of excess protein persist, it might later claim your life.
